McLane Elementary School Welcomes Principal Erin Caldwell

Dear McLane Elementary School ​families,

We are excited to announce that Erin Caldwell has been selected to serve as the next Principal of McLane Elementary School, pending board approval.

Erin is a dedicated and relational school leader who brings experience as a principal, assistant principal, instructional coach and classroom teacher. She most recently served as Assistant Principal at Harrison Preparatory School in Lakewood and has also held school leadership roles in Tacoma and Olympia, including serving as a Substitute Principal in the Olympia School District and as a teacher and consultant at Olympia Regional Learning Academy. She is known for building trust with students, staff, families and community partners, and for supporting school communities grounded in collaboration, high expectations and student-centered decision-making.

Throughout her career, Erin has supported student learning and staff development through instructional leadership, professional learning, schoolwide systems, PLC practices, data-informed instruction, PBIS and restorative practices. Her leadership is grounded in partnership, transparency and a deep commitment to helping every student feel safe, supported and successful.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Principal Dannie Clark for her leadership and service to McLane Elementary School. Her care for students, staff and families has been an integral part of the support and growth of the McLane community.
